By the way, I would suggest to enchant the area with more decent/very good drops (maybe by exfering some actual drops to Underdark) and by adding a merchant where we can sell stuff at a very good price, a blacksmith able to craft items with gems or enchant basic weapons... and maybe random portals or events. Heheh...have you ever been past the first area? xD But i have to agree that it should be brought back, there's not much for a 40th level character to do anymore. I mean, most of the higher level areas dont have any gear worth going after. Some once per reset items could even be added like you did with the knight's ring, militia cloak, and the others. Of course they'd be high end gear, maybe in a hidden chest or from an area boss.

There's something past the first area? You mean there's TWO areas? I want TD back so I can look for this elusive second area!

The items from the merchant wasn't very good. The crafting system was fun, but I don't think anyone would've been able to craft something after a year or so of intense activity in Underdark.
It's why I suggest to change the previous crafting system by a blacksmith able to enchant basic weapons and gears. Nothing uber, just decent stuff.

A partial restoration of TD is in the works, and it will be combined with new and old features of the Temple of Earth that was play tested a few months ago.
The old TD style crafting was done away with, and the new system is far more usser friendly IMO.
The TD shop was, by far, the best shop in RD. While the weapons and armor were not of much use in comparison to boss gear, the shields were certainly worth the trip, not to mention the highest gp pay out for selling your mob dropped gear back.
Shops will probably never sell weapons or armor that compares to boss gear, crafting on the other hand has weapons and armor better than all but the elder drops.

I think some of the Elder drops, along with other bosses, have to be updated. There's too much boss gear dropped that no one uses.

I suggest to move Marlen's magic to Tyrian Dun.

To make TD more attractive. Imo, Stoneridge should be the place where we get info for quests and crafts, not the place we complete them.
Actually, we could buy the books in Stoneridge, but the "crafting table" could be somewhere in TD. Just my opinion.
