Here are some suggestions for future developments. I guess that some of these suggestions are for Redemption 2:
- Shandalar should become a city. At the moment, Shandy is a small village, but it should be a medieval metropolis with player houses, marketplaces, arena, training area, King Castle, sewer, commoners, etc. Clan moats could become districts of Shandy (I have the City of Neverwinter in mind.) - We should have marketplaces for medium and high-level characters. Items that will be sold there could change at regular intervals. This could help to balance the weapon inventories and have more possibilities… - We could have areas/buildings (with special benefits) for specific class only. Think of an assassin sect building, a secret forest for rangers, a monastery for monks, a temple for clerics and paladins, etc. The point of this is to convince people to build pure class characters or characters that are less popular. I guess that we will need something for harper scout… - As I said somewhere before, non-summoned bosses should drop a token that can be trade for gears and eventually for qps.

Could be an idea to have more civilians (npc) walking around in Shandy. Some of them could ask for something (gems, a specific boss drop, etc) in exchange of gold or other items. Other civilians could pay to be escorted to a specific area, etc.

I've been sneaking on the server yesterday and I was shocked to see Shadalar burning ! What did you do during my absence folks ? You didn’t defend our town ?
On another topic, I have some suggestions: - Have slightly better gears in the shops. I’m telling you, if you are a lonely lowbie, it’s impossible to run the Crypt with the basic buyable stuff (an you don’t have money to buy stuff anyway). By chance, I used a Warlord Armor that I found on the ground of Stoneridge… - Get rid of the clan system. Evil vs Good vs Neutral doesn’t make any sense now with 2-3 active players in each clan. Kindreds and Eclipse will always level together in the Atan Fort anyways… - I would replace this system by a more flexible system: rebels vs authority. I could give more details on this if you are interested. - Have level restrictions on items, not only on summoned boss items. - Have a port to Newbie castle near recall place.
Edit : - The Chief of Stoneridge (the guy in trhe barracks, I don’t remember the name) could give missions to PC, like “Bring me the X from the Crypt, and X from Troll Underworld, etc.” Good for lowbies to gain extra gold and maybe some xp…
Those missions will also help new people to know where they have to go…
That’s it for now. I will be happy to see you again on the server!

The gear is actually overpowered as is.
I've been saying this for AGES. Others tend to disagree.
I agree. You will find however that some non-boss gear has been restricted.
It's only 1/2 an area away.
Edit : He doesnt? I thought he did already? Tempus?!

The gear is actually overpowered as is. I agree. Stoneridge offers +1 gear and money CAN be had if you take the time to explore your surroundings. He doesnt? I thought he did already? Tempus?! There are LOTS of things similar to this provided you EXPLORE... ;D

plz dont destroy me for this...but lvl restriction's on gear sounds more like a PW story server than a pvp server....i Love playing on RD and with everyone..and i love fighting with eclipse..in a sick twised way i even respect them as an aversary's(knows later Toney will whip him a thousnd good lashes for this post) i really hop the idea of getting rid of clan's is a passing thought..you can do the whole Rebal and authority thing without taking away the caln's

Why not rebels and authority within the clans.

Thanks DMs. You are doing a great job and we all appreciate what you have done so far. For more diversity: Vampires in Crystal Cavern could drop random weapons (like in Cyric's) based on the Barbed Blade stat (I would suggest short sword, greatsword, dagger). Minions in Spire could also drop random weapons.

I want to add my formal thanks to the DM team. Having been a minor part-DM for a short time, I appreciate how hard the DMs work to make this a wonderful gaming experience for so many of us who keep coming back for more.
Hecate, Tempus, please do take time off and enjoy life away from the computer screen once in a while. It is important to maintain balance if you are going to remain a long-term Redemption player. Do NOT burn out. You are the core of our Redemption experience, and although we do not do a good enough job of expressing it often enough, "THANK YOU!"
I will help out whenever and however I can; As most of you know, I am not a programmer, and will be of no use as a builder. However, if there is anything you need or want me to do, please know that all you need to do is ask. I am sure most, if not all, veterans of Redemption feel the same way.
Thank you all for taking the time and effort to make our redemption experience as wonderful and challenging as it is.

Random loot from loot bags in Tyrian Dun (Mauliseum) could be more random... Crossbows are fun but...

I vote for a payable portal systeme to Tyrian Dun. The portal could be in Stoneridge and it could cost 40k-60k/portation. Dwarves and PC with high persuade skills could have a better price.

Id say it would cost 40k-100k cause that area is pretty epic... And i agree with the dwarves/PC persuade lower cash thing.
