It was a Friday evening like any other Friday evening. Ciamhan wasn't so much interested in taking over the world as he was in seeing if there were any parts of the world worth taking over. He went through a dark but empty forest and suddenly found himself in a desolate part of Utah (which is redundant), the canyon called the Great Divide. Being a Swiss Army Bard, Ciamhan was able to cross the canyon without difficulty. He then came upon a half-remembered realm his uncle told him about, elemental canyon. His battles against the canyon crawlers were easier than he expected, for he is not unaware that he lacks prowess in combat, and their lack of reward was equal to their lack of difficulty. As he neared the second group of crawlers, he saw two treasure chests, but strangely enough, one threw missles at him!!
It too was defeated and dropped only a few coins. The other chest had to be bashed open since it required a key to open and could not be picked, and contained only holy water and choking powder.
He tried to leave the way he came in but was prevented from doing so, and strange words were spoken to him, "you must have SoU and HotU," but he had had those vaccinations long ago and decided to go back to Shandalar.
Before he left, he found some wood scraps and made this sign:
"I, Ciamhan of the Vortex, second in command of the Clan Chimaera and deputy to the great Silence, by right of writing first proclaim that I am the first to have explored this land successfully and offer proof by my description of the creatures I have killed. If others have been here before me, they have not shared that knowledge and so have forfeited their share of glory."
