Since we will be upgrading to CEP 2.2 soon, we need to know if anyone will have problems getting it. This can be due to the fact that some people may have dial up. If this is the case PM Tempus your mailing address, you will get a CD with CEP 2.2 on it.

Belad Sellie (aka Tino T) has been passed down the Leadership items. May he be recognised as a Leader both in-game and out of it!

A little head warning to those that like to AFK level that we are now on the honor system for it. We don't like seeing it. If caught we will mess with you.
This will become a rule eventually in all possibility. So it might be a good idea to follow the honor system and just not do it.
AFK leveling is exploiting the game for an auto attack and leaving your computer for a long time.

Effective 09/30/09 Tyr is the Head Dungeon Master.
What is an HDM you ask? The Head Dungeon Master coordinates and focuses Dungeon Masters. During game play, all matters are deferred to them. HDMs have all the responsibilities of a Dungeon Master.
Current Dungeon Masters include: Hecate Thanos Ael'Thas

This is more or less a major announcement. For those that have heard the rumors already it is true we are planning another [glow=red,2,300]WIPE[/glow]
This will occur within the next couple of months. We have quite a few good things on the horizon and it will be good for everyone. I am hoping the server playerbase can look past what they will lose and see what they will gain.
We are redoing many aspects of RD and incorporating many of the player suggestions as best we can. Right now there are many items out in RD that have several versions and its hard for DMs and players to figure out which is the right item and what is illeagal.
In addition to gear changes many of which do not include "nerfing". We also are changing the way you can rest, how many recall items; towns will have their own stone to buy, we are also bringing back Shandalar as a starting point. Stoneridge will still be a town and will not change much. Remorts are being redone. Many of the problems with items from the last wipe are being resolved. I do not want to reveal all of the new ways the world will change but it will reflect more of what our playerbase has wanted. Keep making suggestions and keep improving RD. We work for you the player and we still want your support and suggestions.
Player council has not been held in some time and its an old tradition that will be revived and as our playerbase repopulates or grows we will restore its full glory. In the mean time I will put up a forum location so that we can hold player council in the forums as well as try and get real time meetings in game. This will include the Clan Leaders, DMs, and second in charge of the clans.
Its been difficult to get RD back on track after so much inactivity. I would like to thank the current active players for their support.
If you have any comments or questions the forums are open for discussion.

Two new rules have gone into effect.
Boss runs may occur once per week along with quests being daily. This rule was originally provisional for the summer but is now an active rule.
The second rule that was changed was the allowance of loners on clan boss runs.

There is not much new news unless its for the player council. A loner has been asked to join the player council. Mesija has been asked to join as loner representative. IF you are part of a clan and not getting updates it would be best if you asked your clan representative. Which for now is your clan leaders until the player council is fully restored.
The wipe material is still progressing. We don't want to spoil surprises. I know news has been sparse lately but we have a lot on our plate. I have my own assignments too.
When the wipe is here, and things are set, you will get to see us in game more.
I continue to ask the player base to bear with everything and continue to play.
A few decided to test what it would be like to level without anything but gear you can find. I encourage players to do this.
After as much stagnation has happened due to everything we are trying to bring you a new experience to play with. Not to mention the usual slow summer.
I want a player council meeting soon if possible so be looking for it leaders and mesija.
RD is undergoing in the background a repair of all the garbage that has been collected over time. We are hoping this brings a reduced lag experience. These are fixes from the last wipe that should already be in place.
All players will be recieving a remort if you had one or not. So long as you were a pre-wipe player. I already know which households have the same IP address. I will be checking; your router doesn't lie.
If you were banned before I am willing to offer a blanket forgiveness. So long as you abide by our rules, and you ask for a chance. If you were banned by a current DM they have absolute say in the unbanning. Players may have to spread this by word of mouth. I do not tolerate flame wars in shout or the forums, or within the party chat. I expect everyone to act like adults.
Here soon I will be around and doing free remorts and instant levels since it won't matter.
Lots of good things coming so stay watching.

Player fun month is about to begin. This is the time before a wipe when we give out boss gear, give free remorts and just have a lot of fun craziness.
I have a more serious post to make but I want to compose myself more before making it. I don't want to discourage player fun month.
Almost had to have a cow there, we had a little hardware issue its under control and nothing has been lost, the main RD server will be down for a bit as well. This will be handled as of tomorrow hopefully, and when our testing is done the main server will be back up.

I will be in Florida for 5 days starting the 27th. I will be shutting my computer off during that time, and I may be on my laptop if I am lucky. If anyone needs anything the other DMs will hopefully be able to help you. With Tempus being busy with the wipe, Thanos will be acting Head DM.

We have tempoarily disabled registration to the forums. It is our hope that new members will stumble into the world of Dominia and wish to explore what she has to offer.
Should things get out of hand, we will re-enable this feature.

As of today, 16.1.2010, there have been a few changes concerning Clans and Boss runs. The first one is that the DM team will drop all clan affiliations. This means all our characters will be loners and that we won't have a clan dieties anymore. If a clan has any problems, bring it up with anyone in the DM team and the one most suited to help at the moment will do his best. The second change is to Boss runs. There won't be any more Clan based Boss runs. All Boss runs will be public (that means opened to everyone). However, if anyone misses the start of the run and wants to join in afterwards, they have to get a permission from the party doing the run. If such a permission has not been given out, DMs will "protect" the run against the late-commer. Runs will be made with a combinations of random runs and schedueled runs. So keep your eyes peeled on the forums and be online as much as you can if you want to catch them all

A Player Council meeting was just held. Date: 16.1.2010 Kindred representatives: Tino (Belad), Tony (Bigg) Eclipse representatives: Pants (Sirnico), Sylvantis Chimaera representatives: Silence, Ciamhan Loner representative: Little tall DMs: Ael'Thas, Thanos, Tyr POINTS OF DISCUSSION- Clan Boss runs
The DM team proposed changes as posted in the last thread, with limiting Clan runs to 1 per month and Open runs to 1 per week. While Chimaera, Eclipse and Loners were consent with the changes, Kindred opposed them fiercely. Their reasons were that for what reason should they support the other clan, their enemies, if Kindred is strong enough to take bosses out themselves. After a long talk it was decided that since Kindred does make a good point, we will stay with the DM proposed changes for a trial period, then re-evaluate on the next meeting.
- Remorts
Remorts are in and working, with only a few more quirks here and there to work out. People who are still eligible for their free Remorts need to take that Remort until February 1st. After that, their right to a free Remort ceases to exists. Tyr is handling the Remorting, so step in contact with him if you want your Remort. There are still some specifications that aren't posted on the forums (for instance, the speed and size of the Remort or some other special advantages/disadvantages they might have). Look often for updates. There are also some little bugs in the Remorting conversation that we haven't quite been able to track down and kill just yet. That's why a Remort How-To will be written shortly and posted on the forums, so you know for sure what to do and when to do it.
- Bosses
Bosses are done but not implemented yet. Tempus is on his way to Alaska at the moment so the work on the server is halted for the time being. Next copyover is happening in April and then every 4 months from then on (it's a fixed schedule). Bosses might be implemented before that, but no promises yet (will have to wait for Tempus to say something on this topic). They will be tested out first and they probably won't drop any gear in the testing period, but the players might get a little reward for helping out with the testing (or at least the experience of fighting the boss ). More on this once they are in.
- Spells
They are to be discussed on the forums. Use the appropriate topic.
- Level flags
If you think any of the level flags (that are the flags stationed before the areas that tell you which level you should be to level in there) are inconsistent with the difficulty, or if you just find an area too hard or too easy, post it in the appropriate topic Sylvantis just set up.
- Druid/Shifter Shapes
Same thing as with spells. If you have any comments, post them on the forums in the appropriate topic. For those that didn't read the post, Sylvantis proposed some changed to Druid Shapes that would bring them on par with RD standards. If you are interested go read them and comment away.
- Else
The main thing we would like to stress is that Redemption is a work in progress. We are always looking for new ways to improve and build an even better module. You have ideas for quests, new areas, special PvP stuff, crafts, new Remorts? If you have *anything* you wish to present to us, do so. Either catch us in-game or on Xfire/Skype/MSN or even better, send us a PM with an idea. We will look through all of those when looking for ways to improve. Of course a worked out idea, with links to what we need or saying that you're willing to work the bugs out yourselves if going to get more acknowledgement then a simple "This and that would be cool". But even if it's just one sentance, we will read it and think about it. Just try to keep it real and remember that there are some limitations to what we can do Without DMs there is no Redemption. But without players, there is also no Redemption. That's why we have to work together for an even better tomorrow
And that is all for today, until next time, DMN out

To all clan leaders you have merely a few days till all clans can decide what they want upgraded. You will PM myself and Tempus but we would have like it sent to all. Your deadline is March 1st. This may seem short but you have had 2 months to farm for upgrades.
I am sure you all have been expecting it. If you do not see us by March 1st you will not be able to upgrade this copyover.
This deadline is in respect to all fairness in allowing the clans to upgrade at the same time, and that all 3 have the same deadline. If your leader hasn't been around then make sure they know about the deadline.

First of all, I lost connectivity to the forums JUST as I finished posting a full text with colors and graphs and all kinds of stuff in regards to the caln upgrades.
Since I am TERRIBLY upset, and dont wish to retype everything, I leave it up to you clan leaders to do it. Please review your lists and costs and resend to the DM team please. Thank you!!
Heed the following:
Merchant spells/scrolls of innate level 2 or higher cost 43,200 x innate spell level squared. So, a spell of innate level 7 would cost 43,200 x 7 x 2 = 604,800. 10 pacs of scolls or potions are that final cost x 10.
Only 1 point of Natural AC may be purchased per goon per upgrade.
Items like fire kits, blank scrolls and empty potion vials are considered items with innate spell level 0 (so basically, they cost 43,200).
