i just formated my hard drive on my Toshiba laptop (curently only comp). i installed a bare bones XP operating system on it to get rid of all the Toshiba junk. i had some volume/video troubles so i went on toshiba website and downloaded video and volume drivers.
my computer is curently running fast as hell on every aplication and not lagging one bit but NWN is lagging big time, to the point of not being able to play....
so, any ideas would be usful and greatly apriciated, thx

Take a look in your device manager and tell me if anything is missing. Such as a question mark on an item.
Instead of updating your video drivers from Toshiba, if they are nvidia or ATI get the drivers from their site instead. You could be missing drivers that are used for your system in the form of motherboard drivers.

Also on the device settings you could try turning down the accelerators slider. Another thing is the deisplay setting. Ensure you have the right display settings (meaning the resolution is correct). Another thing I noted before is the sound settings. Try playing with them (i.e. disabling or even setting it to hardware or some such).

try your settings at 800x600 or 1200 settings for display issues.....
