after some time away, i thought i'd return, and check things out.

i had a couple of characters (flawed builds), so i decided to make a new character.

this was last night/yesterday....and after i switched some gear over, went to do some adventuring...the server went down.

today, i logged back in, and ALL OF MY ITEMS WERE MISSING!!!.

this is one heck of a way to recruit new members....why not put a password on the server so only your 'chosen' can play.

When you say all your items are missing, do you mean every single item (including the readme, who's list etc.) or just the ones that you switched over from the other character? I'd say that's most probably a strange bug (probably happened because of the server crash), we have had problems with items disappearing before.


Don't worry about starter gear, most players will hook you up with something if you ask them so you should be good about that. If any of the gear that was lost was crafted, boss gear or something really hard to get, do tell.

If it is a serious problem, then present it as one. Convey the problem of course, but don't come here complaining, making sarcastic comments and accusing dms and expect to be taken seriously.

Identify yourself. If you are an old player let us know who you are. In these forums people are treated with repsect. If you have a problem it gets answered.

Although I have to agree with Joe that accusations without something is a little strong. PM myself if you have a problem or question about the current state of RD.

Ok server crash? I wasn't around last night but the server has a good track record on not crashing. What did you lose?

anyhow, first you say you played before, then complain about how hard it is being a new player, and then again you say you've been here before? make up your damn mind already.
if this isnt your first post, then you should know people usually have nice manners, unlike yourself, and that you really shouldnt "interact with people" the way you did. Joe's post is absolutely true, yet you continue to show the world how you think is a better way of interaction with people?
so the server crashed while you were playing. big deal. you think you're the only one who had this happen to him? or do you think one of the DMs saw you on and crashed the server intentionally so you couldnt play because you're not "chosen"?
also, if you ever played this game before, you should know that when the server crashes, all your progress will be lost from the last time you logged off, because your char gets saved when you log off. if you didnt log off after you switched over your gear, then its your own fault. if you did, then its a bug, and in that case you report it, without accusations and insults.

I don't know you. That is enough to consider this post false.

To the point though, if the server was passworded, you wouldn't have been on it in the first place, we wouldn't have new members and it would be, frankly, a stupid idea.

As to your problem, most likely the server down was just after you switched gear, before an autosave. This is at least partially your fault, since you seem to want to come off as pro. Log out after every item transfer to ensure save. You didn't, server crashed, rollback. It happens on any server, not just this one.

Sidenote: I don't think this is a troll. Just a rage post. Filled with horribly misplaced irritation. trterl, try not to just assume someone is out to get you. The only person who has done you wrong so far is yourself. If you want some starter gear to get you on your way, pm me and we'll organise something. But don't go all true musou rage again without taking into account the facts. A few polite questions will get you alot further.
