It was brought to my attention that the Soul of the Soulless daggers no longer have vamp regen.
In the DM item creator the sos have a slightly different appearance and still have the vamp regen, but the ones that actually drop do not.
It would appear someone changed the sos daggers on the grey man but not on the master toolset.
I request they get vamp regen back, the blight is a terribly nasty place and the sos with vamp regen is still not approaching boss gear quality.

this isnt a problem more of an annoyance. I have a kukri that casts a spell on hit and whenever i hit a monster that is immune to that effect i get a whisper that says "Target is immune to that effect" or soemthing along those lines. Im just stating that cause this may annoy people as it fills up your chat rather quick.

A fairly simple removal, it's actually part of a default script. // FTW

As far as I know it's part of the default script (as Karma already stated). We could remove it or change it to send a message to the combat log (those yellow messages you get from the server here and there) instead of whispering on your chat log.

we could also remove the OnHit property of the item...

Those messages actually build up a significant amount of lag if they start to stack. I'd just remove then altogether and be done with it. It's not like a message is sent to notify an attacker their cold damage is being ignored, why bother with OnHits?

Actually, the message is sent to you, but not in a "your cold damage is being ignored" way. It's all in the combat logs Personally I like to know when enemies are immune to one of my OnHit thingies...

Yes, I realise how it works.
What I am suggesting is that since it only applies to OnHits, why bother with the excess latency spammed OnHit's cause? Sure, it's nice to know when they are immune but with most OnHits you can tell anyway, and frankly it isn't essential.

I'm running along those lines too Karma. This will be tabled and we'll see how others feel about the matter (becuase another that comes to mind is that seizure-ific Icicle).

Icicle is overpowered. Katana is overpowered. Nuff said. I designed an entire weapon upgrade patch for RD a while back if you are interested in perusing. Boosts up some of the lesser used weapons like handaxe, dire mace, etc. also included a few armour sets for chain/scale and the higher dex armors. Not to plug my own works, but I figure I have them lying there...

Send the erf to our email addresses Karma and we will look at it. There are a NUMBER of things in progress ATM and items are one of them.

I agree fully on the 'on hits', hate 'em. they are a video card and server drain and they are often overpowering. Icicle is a perfect example. When you take it to ToI it cuts the golem fight times by about 50-80% compared to using a top boss weapon like AD.
