Figured I'd update this thread. Got to love it....
Facebook while fun and free has a cost. Advertising. I have lately learned that facebook deposits so much spyware on your system that prolonged use can mess up your browser if you play the games. I have also read articles that facebook does not take responsibility for policing its site.
Had someone I know run a spyware scan on their machine. (They reported slow browser and lockups in IE) 112 Traces showed up. Locked up again on attempt to remove. Fun part was this was even using great spyware tools and blockers. Tino reported mad traces from facebook with almost no defenses except virus scanning.
Some friendly advice to all is to use this site with caution. They make money whether or not you pay in repairs. Happy Facebooking.

Also, be weary of what personal data you post on Facebook. A while ago there was a PHP bug open on the Facebook mobile which allowed anyone (I mean ANYONE) to see your personal information the same as if he was one of your friends. I tested it myself, managed to "hack" into one of my friends account (he approved it to see if it works) in about 20 minutes - without even having a Facebook account. As a side note, they needed 4 full days to close this glitch.
These things are becomming more and more rare, but there are still some found here and there. FB also has the most phishing sites ever recorded. Phishing is a social engineering technique, where you hack into an account by making a fake main page of something and making them enter their credentials. So everytime you are logging into FB, make sure you are using the official site and not something like "www.faecebook.com", it might be a phishing site. Once they have your acc and password, they can easily spread the phishing sites onwards (sending links to your friends, which usually don't really look at what you sent em, just click on it).
Facebook in itself ain't really considered to be a spyware nest, most of those things lie in the quizzes, games and all other seemingly harmless applications that everyone loves to use.
