The wipe will be occurring shortly. More or less as soon as Shai'tan and I make the plethora of bic files explode.

Things that occur in the copyover/post-wipe:

1) Latest Hall/Goon Upgrades

2) Fine-tuned new remorts (Contest entries and the rest to come soon!)

3) Dwarven Hills, another Highland-sized area, woohoo! (Quite possibly buggy, I'll be working with Helm to finalize things, but reports are dandy via PM).

4) Stoneridge, or at least what's left of it!

5) The League of Champions, if (4) plays out properly.

6) Item Level Restrictions on BOSS equipment.

A *new* wipe will be occurring within the next few months. A few notes on it:

• All clan gold will remain for the clan. Personal gold will be deleted however. I will be taking notes on all of this so please don't try & scam me.
  
• All QP on each character will remain. Before wipe, everyone that wishes to keep their QP will hand them over to the DM team & all will be recorded. Those that do not turn in their QP will not receive reimbursement.
  
• All gear & characters will be deleted. Those that hold positions of power will get those positions (aka: rings) back. All other items will be deleted. There will be a buy-back for Boss Gear but no further details at this time.
  
• A new & updated Stoneridge will be implemented as well as a new & shiny Shandalar. New merchants, pretty lights, persistent quests, more to come!
  
• Remorts will be implemented & in working order. If you have the QP at the time of wipe, you may instantly remort your lvl 1 character.
  
• Item level restriction on ALL items.
  
• CEP2 will be installed as well as a few minor haks that will be severely recommended for play.
  

The wipe is possibly a "shock" to some but it has been in the works for ages. It is coming much quicker than expected but there are numerous DM issues that are constantly on going & updated. Areas are constantly changing as well as items.

More will be posted when the exact date is released.

FYI: to those that are panicky about the wipe, this is an extensive thing that the DM team has been working on for some time now. We are working diligently to ensure that everyone is ready for it when it happens & all (or at least most) of those lil bugs we have in the server are gone for good! Please don't fret & please don't leave just yet. We have much work to do before this wipe happens. This was just a preview of it to come.

As was mentioned yesterday, the DM team is working around the clock to make sure 90% of the issues we have seen will be taken care of by the time the wipe happens. We are confident that within the first two weeks of February, wipe will occur. It will be a smooth transition. Some updates on this:

• CEP 2 is a must for those of you that did not know. Following this will be the link to dload. It has a self installer which is easy for everyone that can't figure out where to place
  
• The Head HAK is not a must, but if you wish to see some NPC heads, it's advised. This link will also be provided.
  

Info about Rules:
The rules of Redemption will remain the same however, the DM team will not be sugar coating anything from now on. You break a rule, we don't want to hear your excuses. You will be punished. Simple as that.

For those of you that have multiple players on the same CD-Key, that player that has sed login will be the ONLY player to access this login. As far as I know, this is the only way to change your password for the game: nwn.bioware.com/login/retrieve.html

We have been updating many areas & you will see a few new ones. As well as a few new features. More will be release about this closer to the wipe date.

Just an FYI: I have been trying to put a sign in town regarding the wipe but since our server host is a punk & hasn't been seen in 3 days, I will post here & hopefully word will get out.

Wipe will occur on Feb 16th @ 7pm est.
If you do not have your items/gold turned into Tempus or myself by 6:50pm, consider you or your clan shit outta luck.

Remorts:
If you have a lvl 40 character & you have the supporting QP turned in on the 16th, you may remort instantly. You will however have to be the same race & class (base class) as your lvl 40. If you have multiple 40's, you can pick which one you wish to remort. This will be noted by Tempus & I. Remort info is found on the wiki site.

Clan leaders are expected to be present that day after wipe to receive their clan gold, clan rings, & clan weapons. If the recruiters are present also, this will be even better.

NOTICE:
The Amulet of flux that has been floating around is off limits. Anyone that has one, please turn into a DM. If you are caught with one & did not turn in, you will be punished.

Any gear that any DM feels is unfit or is a mistake for you to have shall be taken away and not replaced. If you think you have obtained an item that is quite powerful, it is in your best interest to tell one of us.

Please be extremely patient with us all as we are fixing the many issues we have. We all appreciate your patience!!

All items, all persistent chests, & all characters with the exception of one will be deleted this Sunday (if all goes as planned). As far as how one will be kept is not determined at this time. Keep in mind that you will only keep your character (max lvl 20), not your items. If Tempus gave you back your QP, please turn them back in and sorry about that. Also, I'm tired & I'm cranky so please don't start bitching if this is not what you wanted.

Everything from the Goblin area has been changed The only item that is not to be returned is The Black Talon belt (and for right now the ring). Everything else needs to be handed into a DM for an exchange. Thank you.

Also: there will be a ton of updated items so be prepared to have yours recalled. The main ones being Sleight of Hand, Tenacity, & Infinity.

This is more or less a major announcement. For those that have heard the rumors already it is true we are planning another [glow=red,2,300]WIPE[/glow]

This will occur within the next couple of months. We have quite a few good things on the horizon and it will be good for everyone. I am hoping the server playerbase can look past what they will lose and see what they will gain.

We are redoing many aspects of RD and incorporating many of the player suggestions as best we can. Right now there are many items out in RD that have several versions and its hard for DMs and players to figure out which is the right item and what is illeagal.

In addition to gear changes many of which do not include "nerfing". We also are changing the way you can rest, how many recall items; towns will have their own stone to buy, we are also bringing back Shandalar as a starting point. Stoneridge will still be a town and will not change much. Remorts are being redone. Many of the problems with items from the last wipe are being resolved. I do not want to reveal all of the new ways the world will change but it will reflect more of what our playerbase has wanted. Keep making suggestions and keep improving RD. We work for you the player and we still want your support and suggestions.

Player council has not been held in some time and its an old tradition that will be revived and as our playerbase repopulates or grows we will restore its full glory. In the mean time I will put up a forum location so that we can hold player council in the forums as well as try and get real time meetings in game. This will include the Clan Leaders, DMs, and second in charge of the clans.

Its been difficult to get RD back on track after so much inactivity. I would like to thank the current active players for their support.

After some discussion among ourselves about the upcoming wipe we have a few issues that have led us to announce the following postponement.

Tempus has some scheduled travel during the next month, and it appears we were not making deadline as much as we had hoped.

I know this wipe has been pretty well received and anticipated. It is our opinion that after the disasters of last wipe we would rather it be right than fast.

Player council is still open for questions as well as general discussion of the wipe. We will also be continuing to have the free give-aways through the time until the wipe. In some ways this is fortunate for those of our players plagued by computer problems. At least 2 of our clan leaders have been out, and a backup system of Tempus's has lost a motherboard and this system was used for RD development. No information has been lost. Just slowed some things down.

The new target date and this is the final deadline, after this we would probably resort to supplemental copy overs to accomplish the job. January 1, 2010.

A Wipe update.

This weekend some of the new remorts have been tested. The results have been an outstanding improvement over the old remorts. These remorts are almost completely automated.

During fun month it has been more than a pain to do remorts since so much of the work has to be done by a DM. The new remorts will require minimal configuration on our part.

I can tell you that the feats work properly this time. Skills didn't quite turn out as we hoped but you will get the benefit of not spending as many points on them in some cases.

Figured I'd make a post since the DMs have been kinda quiet lately. We are still working and the tests are going really well.

Its been a long time coming and a lot of man-hours but we are finally at the end. Yes, the end of Dominia as it is now.

As of the first of the year, a New Dominia will emerge and all current characters will be wiped clean from the server vault.

I will not go into details but suffice to say a lot of your suggestions went into the fold. We have tried to be true to the obvious developmental challenges of Redmeption while respecting the orignal creators designs and wishes. She will NOT be without her bugs and hiccups (I am sure) but a lot of testing, discussion and mapping went into this. We are not anticipating any more wipes after this however, every three months we plan to do releases (fixes, clan upgrades, additions, etc.).

I say this now as this is the two week mark. In order for you to benefit from this transition you NEED TO HAVE CEP 2.2. Now, not all areas and monsters are CEP2.2 compliant, but a lot are. It just saves time if you have the correct version, rather than work through the inevitable crash or black screen you may get when you encounter one.

I said this once, and I'll say it again- For those that have less than ideal connections, PM me your address and I will mail you a CD of CEP at no cost to you.

In preparation for the wipe, please ensure all your friends who play not only have CEP, but are also registered on this site. Much of the changes, enhancements, rules and regulations will be posted here, under the GAME CHARACTERISTICS thread.

Look to this thread in the coming days as I will be posting updates. Some of which will be the remorts and Clan Goon growth cycles. If you have ANY questions, please post them in the appropriate thread or send the DM Team a PM.

A few things to note:
- You need CEP 2.2
- You will no longer have your characters and must build new ones
- The IP to connect is
- You will get 1 free remort per player. Take your time. We will keep this offer open for 1 month
- There are no Bosses yet. This will be addressed in seperate release
- Not all areas are in (90% is set). This will be addressed in a seperate release
- If you are a clansman, please see a DM to get your Clan Ring and token
- Please post ALL things that dont seem right. Dont assume its just new, it may be broken
- If you are caught exploiting a defect, you will be beat with a wet tissue (seriously, please let me know so I can fix it. Dont abuse it)
