Gauntlet, a party of player must successful run through a DM spawned dungeon, defeating all foes along the way w/o any potions, scrolls, wands, or retreats.

New PvP or Mob Battle Idea:Players attempt to defeat one another or, waves of monsters within an arena setting. Events can be team, clan or ‘last man standing’ and at the DM host’s discretion, prizes can be awarded to the player, team or clan that completes an event. Details:The arena is a series of staged areas connected through waypoints. Each area can vary in environmental effects (e.g. null magic, ice, acid, fire), tile placeables (e.g. ruins, water, traps, etc.) and size. All areas offer temporary effects in the form of self-resetting triggers as follows- Armor- DR increase Swords- Attack Base increase Bio- Base Abilities/ Spell Resistance/ Saves increase Magic- Access to all spells (or specified spells) Planar- God Mode or Ressurect all players Elemental- Resistances to Elemental and Magicial effects Material- Small cache of potions and/or scrolls Wilds- Random effect from any of the previously ones mentioned Rules:- All triggers reset at specified intervals after being triggered by a player
- Area effects and placement of triggers varies with server reset
- Arena’s are DM hosted events and are open to players for PvP or mob runs
- Completion of event is at DM’s discretion and could entail- defeat the clan, be last man standing, defeat all monsters, etc.
- No additional scroll or potion use allowed
- all effects are temporary and any items gained within the areas, are removed upon leaving
Additional ideas that may make things more interesting:Only allows characters of level 1 to play Add chance of failure on triggers (i.e. negative effects instead of implied bonus) Grant temporary gear at special locations (weapons, items, spells, gold, etc.) Create a mechanism to track # of kills for boasting rights Stargate portals to jump to random locations or area
