I have enjoyed Redemption - especially getting to play with, and knowing, the people on the server. I think friendships have developed with the time on-line - I loved seeing the pictures of TKD and Eveline's wedding. Here's a little information about me in a recent article in Crain's Chicago Business: chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/article.pl?page_id=1994I don't know how to make it a link - I'm a banker, not a programmer ... Ironfoot and Iron friends.

Looks like you have your hands full Mr Tan. Will you be introducing your new friends in China to RD soon?

That was neat, but you forgot the "ZOMG REDEMPTION ROX" part. Chicago Business papers are one of the places we tend not to advertise in. We need coverage, damn it!

Well, I've contributed to these links before. I guess I'll do it again.... LOL This is the main site for the station where I work. I'm in charge of the group that does all of the Instrumentation, Controls, and Data Acquitions work in all 5 sites. www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/testfacilities/plumbrook.htmlYES, I'm a nerdy engineer. (sorry no head-lines about me....though I am in a picture or two)

Computer Support ata Big Ten U myself, Working on TKD too. Looks like he may have studied Capoiera as well, or could. Theyt use a lot of 'gymnastics' type moves.
On a side note it is pretty cool when you go to do a Demo kick and force the holder back a couple feet. Done that one myself too. No body got hurt then either. Can't do that now since the space we use now doesn't have padded floors. . . . . yet.

Some of that is capoiera, and some of it is Wushu. Regarding the kick that lifted him off the ground; If I remember at that time my back foot snap kick was 400lbs/square inch of force on average. Definitely enough to lift him and then some, so the second one I got a helper to hold him down. And all the other stuff was during an activities class- something we do on friday nights to keep the kids outta trouble. They got to learn how to do some fun stuff that you'd never catch me allowing in normal classes. It's really rewarding to see the looks on their faces when they take what they learned in activities into class to make their normal techniques better. That stuff is fun, but I should pull some pics and vids for you guys that shows what we actually do in class. It's the basic core stuff that I thrive on practicing the most.
