Hehe, I remember Alassra and this tournament - didn't apply though since I had no real mages to speak off.
If you want to come back, you're more then welcome too, you'll see MANY changes to the server ^_^
PS: You can buy the game online for a good cost and download it from their servers.

I think I'll do that. Is anyone on anymore? Last I played there were usually 5-10 players online during peak hours. If theres anyone on, even sometimes, Ill dish out the 30$ for nwn platinum. Or, if you guys know where I can just just buy the keycodes, Ive already for the game discs.

Trais, glad to hear your stories of old. I myself was not around during this though have participated in many such tournies afterwards. Sadly, the numbers here have waned over the years; however, Redemption is always what it was meant to be- a players playground. But alas, without the numbers of your day, PvP has dwindled.
I would however encourage your return and welcome your presence as a seasoned vet. If anything, it may spur other such players to return and we can again host tournies such as this.
I personally do not have

Yep Im on my way. Im using ubuntu Linux, so getting NWN to work will be a quest by itself. Currently downloading the CEP, and configuring my fragile NWN directory to work properly. Even if no one else comes on for awhile, I think I'll enjoy spending a good 30-40 hours just maxing out my character build again. Ahh, this will be fun!

Ok! So I logged in for a few minutes after hours of tinkering. It turns out a couple of the cep .tlk files are outdated. I apologize if this issue is already marked somewhere on the site, I didn't think to check there until I already had it fixed. Also, the textures render strangely on the edges of the screen when zoomed in to any extent, and the sound doesn't work, but I can live with what I've got for a few days until I decide to tinker more.
The newbie dungeon got a nice addition since I've last been on, but that's about all I had time for tonight. Ill get back on tomorrow evening for sure. I would invite someone else to get on, but I'm a lowbie right now. Give me a few days and we'll plan some adventures!

Sup there oldtimer, I have not seen Alassra in a long time. Right now the server players are wy done. It's just part of the summer cycle. Hopefully another month or so and it will pick back up, and with any luck we will have some new high end areas add around then to bring old folks back.
I remember your pc, but can't recall what incarnation I would have been at that time. I may have not been a DM at the time, so I would have been playing Loignar, Sulinus, FOAD, ESAD, or a number of other alts.
Good to have you back, and I hope to free up some game time to see you ingame.

Well Ive played awhile. and I have to say Im enjoying myself again! Only issue is I'm stuck in the newbie dungeon. I have no key to enter the dungeon, and no key to leave into shandalar. Maybe I could coordinate a time when a DM is on to port me outside or open the door? Either way, the feeling of nostalgia is making me light headed!
Thanks for all the help everyone!
Oh btw, Ive got sound working and the graphcis arent quite so jumpy. Almost got it working windoze-smooth now.

That sure is odd. Checked when I read and you weren't online anymore, checked again right now and you also weren't online Would be great if we managed to get a time together so we can have a look at your problem

If its just a port he needs out of the newbie dungeon, I can arrange it. Will be online in the evenings as Ras or Rothgar or Rathbane.

Well I am sure some people wonder where I went. I now play Eve and am in a Multigame organization. The only time we get a dry up of people to play with is when no one is releasing games.
I have resigned from RD which is a heavy decision but unless I am committed to that goal of RD then I feel I have to leave to make room for someone that is.
I wish everyone the best of luck in the future and hope that while my xfire remains open we will still all be friends.

Moving on to "bigger and better places" as my old 1st sergeant would have said. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun and good times. Sorry we didn't hang out more!
