Not sure what the deal is folks.. still looking into it. I am out of state until the first so checking things remotely takes a bit more finesse.
bear with us.

Sorry folks. Was importing the characters over, it was late and I think I must have forgot to turn it on. I will update the forums with the new IP (though I think its the same) and turn her back up this afternoon.

I have changed the port to 5123 (IP should still be the same as whats posted in the Game Characteristics thread) however, there have been changes and will continue to be changes until I can reslove the matter.
My apologies. There have been some recent issues with the server that I have been trying to diagnose. They started when I was in Alaska.
-What seems to be occuring is that there is a non-response from the server. I've logged in to an empy server but will see players once in game. They are actually just players who have left and its not really logged them out. I will then be playing and lock up, though animations will continue (no repsonse from the mouse). And finally, when I try to reset the server, it is unresponsive.

is it down tonight? or has the address changed and I just can't find it?? when this happens, i look on the History tab and it's usually there. In this situation though, even if i am able to log in I shortly begin to experience hiccups which cause me to die in an area I would otherwise hold my own very easily. .. and I've seen a ping of -1. I don't know how that's possible. Maybe the server knows what I'm going to do before I do it and therefore give a preemptive response which causes my untimely demise. I knew it! The God of Trickery strikes again?

Hummm.. me thinks its on your end. I am sitting at work and pinged it and was able to connect. PING was coming back at 83 but note, I have AOL, XFIRE, iTunes plus all my remote work connections running.

Guess I'll have to take a look at my network then. thanks Tempus! Z

ok... Probably an OE issue. Will keep trying... and worst case? I'll yell at my clan leader when he gets back... or have Joseph use xfire to get a hold of Tyr.
